Pat Boy is a Yucatecan rapper who uses his music to promote and celebrate the Maya culture and language. He is one of the pioneers of rap in Yucatec Maya, a language spoken by about 800,000 people in the Yucatan Peninsula.
Pat Boy started rapping in 2005, influenced by local and international artists, and has released six albums so far. His songs cover topics such as daily life, traditions, romance, and social issues. He also founded ADN Maya, a production house that supports local musicians and artists.
Pat Boy has performed at various festivals and has been recognized by UNESCO for his cultural work. He aims to inspire young people to appreciate and preserve their Maya heritage through his rap by him.
