Man arrested for murder in Mérida

 Investigative agents of the State Police in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) located and arrested José SN alias “Tecos”, accused of qualified homicide committed in a gang, in Mérida.

The subject had been on the run since May 2022 when the events that cost the life of a 40-year-old RRD occurred, whom the now detainee, along with other individuals, reportedly attacked with blows and stones during a fight.

Due to the injuries, the man was transferred to a hospital where days later he died.

Agents of the State Investigative Police (PEI) of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP) executed the arrest warrant against the subject and the FGE made him available to the Judge who is following criminal proceedings.
