A little over 25 kilometers from the port of Rio Lagartos, a boat led by Adolfo Huchim captured a massive shark measuring three meters in length and weighing 640 kilograms, causing astonishment among tourists who couldn’t resist taking photos with the enormous fish.

According to experts, this huge animal is classified as an oceanic and pelagic shark, found in all tropical and temperate oceans around the planet. It typically moves at depths ranging from 60 to 300 meters, but it can also be found at greater depths.

As “Chincha,” the bold fisherman, narrated, he and his fellow crew members set sail early in the morning, casting their nets about 15 miles offshore. It was there that they realized they had caught a large blue shark. They boarded the impressive catch and began their journey back to the port.

“Chincha” has been devoted to fishing since childhood, working for cooperatives, and he is one of the most experienced fishermen in the port, providing for his family through his hard work every day.

When the boat arrived at the port, the sight of the massive shark gathered a crowd of people in minutes. Dozens of locals and tourists surrounded the fishermen to capture photos of the great shark and their feat.

For Adolfo, it was a great Friday since, although the kilo price of this fish is not very high, the total value of this large specimen is 10,000 pesos, according to those familiar with the matter, considering its size and weight.
