Ángel Francisco Argüelles Sánchez, through his pet crematorium, has joined the “No más Huellitas Azules” (No more Blue Pawprints) campaign with the aim of raising awareness among drivers about the importance of being more cautious when they see dogs or cats on the road, avoiding running them over.

By intervening in the streets of the municipality of Tizimín, he urges drivers to reduce their speed, as these animals are living beings who deserve our love and respect.

He emphasized the importance of every motorcyclist or motorist considering this message.

Argüelles Sánchez drew an analogy between these animals and young children who are unaware of the danger they expose themselves to when crossing the street, which can result in the end of their lives.

The interviewee requested that if drivers come across one of these animals deceased on the streets due to a collision, they should contact the phone number 986-120-78-29 so that the remains can be collected and a blue pawprint can be painted at the location where they were hit.

Subsequently, the bodies will be taken to the sanitary landfill at no cost, ensuring they have at least a dignified farewell.

Since the campaign began on June 30th, at least 20 Blue Pawprints have been painted in different locations in the municipality of Mérida, Yuc.

The cases of dogs and cats being run over are frequent in daily life.

Argüelles Sánchez revealed that this campaign is currently being carried out in other states such as Querétaro and Guerrero, and now he intends to be the one to initiate it in Yucatán, promoting it throughout the region.

Furthermore, he mentioned plans for future community incinerations of these animals that die on the streets. Additionally, he is creating an exclusive mausoleum for dogs and cats, which will be located on a property on 48B Street between 33 and 35.
