Food prices register up to 10% increase due to inflation in Mexico

Although accumulated inflation showed a slight decrease in the first half of the year, certain sectors, such as the food sector, have not yet subsided and continue to experience an increase of up to 10 percent.

This was revealed by Tresearch in its analysis for June, where food prices went from 11.5 to 10.5, significantly higher than other products and services included in the National Price and Quotation Index.

Other services, such as those provided by the government, saw increases from 4.1 to 6.3 percent, and education expenses rose from 3.3 to 4.9 percent.
