Fight ends with one person injured by a shotgun blast in Kinchil

A fight between two men ended with one of them injured by a gunshot from a 16-gauge shotgun last night on 27th Street at the intersection of 26th and 28th Streets in the La Glorieta neighborhood in Kinchil.

According to reports, the two individuals were drinking together, but during their conversation, old grudges resurfaced, leading to a brawl. The altercation came to an end when one of the men, known as “El Bicho,” grabbed a 16-gauge shotgun and shot his companion, Samuel.

The shot hit Samuel’s right knee, causing a severe injury.

Family members of the injured individual reported the incident to the emergency number, and a Mexican Red Cross ambulance arrived at the scene.

Paramedics attended to the injured person, provided first aid, and then transported him to a hospital in Mérida for further treatment.

The alleged aggressor fled the scene on foot and, according to witnesses, sought refuge at a relative’s house.

Kinchil Municipal Police, in coordination with the State Police (SSP), proceeded to the house where “El Bicho” supposedly sought refuge.
