Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) arrived early this morning at the road that connects this municipality with the town of Canicab to take photographs and initiate investigations into a supposed act of witchcraft in the municipality. Efforts will be made to identify those responsible.

After this act was made known through social media, the Municipal Police reported it to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP). Later, FGE personnel arrived in the town to carry out the corresponding procedures.

It was reported that workers from the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) also arrived and proceeded to collect the two skulls that were placed as part of a supposed satanic ritual on the Seyé-Canicab road, near the first curve.

Semefo personnel marked the location of the evidence, took photographs of the scene, and then collected the bones of the human heads that were used to perform the alleged acts of witchcraft discovered on Sunday morning by residents passing through the area.

In addition to the skulls, there were red candles, a black candle, a circle of salt, and two photographs at the scene, which generated some fear among the neighbors who are calling for increased vigilance by the Municipal Police.

It should be noted that last week, at kilometer 2+100 on the way to the Mérida-Cancún federal highway, a first act of witchcraft was found. It involved a plastic doll with an ice pick stuck in it and red soil, all placed in the middle of a star made from the same soil.

Although investigations are ongoing, no arrests have been made to date.

However, the residents of the municipality are requesting increased surveillance patrols, especially during the nights and early mornings when it is believed that such acts are carried out in public places.
