A tragic accident occurred on the Umán-Muna road, specifically on the Yaxcopoil-Xtepén section, where the passenger of the driver lost their life instantly.
The fatal accident took place at kilometer 225 of the mentioned road. The driver of the Ford F-150 truck was traveling from Muna to Umán when they lost control, veered off the roadway, collided with a concrete post, and then hit the dump truck.
In the accident, the driver’s passenger lost their life instantly, their body trapped among the wreckage. The driver sustained injuries, was assessed, and transported to a medical facility.
Firefighters from the State Police Department rescued the body, while personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office carried out the necessary investigations.
