AMLO expresses sorrow over the death of a journalist in Nayarit

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador expressed his condolences for the death of journalist Luis Martín Sánchez Íñiguez from the newspaper La Jornada in Nayarit.

During his daily morning press conference, he confirmed that the other two journalists who were held captive have been safely released.

“One of the three journalists was killed, which is terrible news. Two have been freed, and one was murdered. Tomorrow, during the security briefing, more information will be provided regarding this regrettable incident. Our condolences go out, and we embrace the family, friends, and colleagues of the journalists,” President López Obrador stated.

The correspondent for La Jornada was found deceased this Saturday in the town of Huachines, near El Ahuacate, in the municipality of Tepic.
