What was supposed to be a day of leisure on a Saturday off the coast of Progreso, Yucatán, turned into tragedy as flames engulfed a yacht in the open sea.
A video shows the vessel named ‘Landy Beatriz’ seemingly alone, consumed by flames along the coast amidst high temperatures.
The plume of smoke could be seen from several kilometers away. Although the causes are unknown, it could be due to overheating in the engine room.
