Yucatecan youth recognizes Vila’s work

During the second day of the Expo Transforma Yucatán, young people from various areas acknowledged that the work carried out by Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal has resulted in a safer and more modern state with efficient and agile transportation, as well as more and better academic and employment opportunities for students throughout the territory.

At the “Siglo XXI” Convention Center, the Governor presented to students from public universities and high schools the actions that are driving the transformation of the state and laying the foundations for its future. José Balam, from the Metropolitan Technological University (UTM), highlighted that the state is becoming more modern, where everyone wants to invest and live, thanks to its security.

“As young people, I believe we now have more opportunities since this Government took office. I have seen more companies coming in so that when we finish studying, we have a place to work and put our careers into practice,” he mentioned.

Accompanied by the Mayor of Mérida, Renán Barrera Concha, Vila Dosal shared the strategies that are transforming the state and have led it to experience a historic moment, as 2021 witnessed the highest economic growth and job creation in its history.

Likewise, in 2022, Yucatán recorded its highest levels of foreign direct investment, tourist arrivals, and security, as well as the lowest crime rates. February 2023 was the month with the highest salaries on record.

Regarding the actions taken in higher education, the Governor recalled that the State English Agenda promotes English language proficiency from preschool to higher education, with bilingual environments in schools across various municipalities.
