Young man crushed to death in building collapse in Telchac Puerto

A true tragedy occurred in Telchac Puerto when a construction collapse was reported, resulting in the death of a young man, René C.C., 22.

The incident occurred at the ‘Boga Telchac’ apartment construction site, located at kilometer 35 of the Uaymitún-Telchac Puerto road.

According to the report, the young man was assembling a structure on the sixth floor of the building when the structure collapsed.

Upon hearing the loud noise, the young man’s colleagues rushed to assist him. However, he was practically buried under the rubble, prompting them to quickly remove the stones to try to rescue him.

After pulling the young man’s body out from the debris, emergency services were called for assistance. Paramedics arrived at the scene and provided medical assistance before transporting him to the IMSS Ignacio García Tellez T1 hospital.

Unfortunately, the young man, originally from the state of Tabasco, did not survive his injuries, and his death was reported upon arriving at the hospital.

It is worth noting that accidents of this nature resulting in fatal outcomes are becoming increasingly common in the workplace, such as the case of a worker from the Maya Train roject who was diagnosed with brain death after an accident while being transported in a company vehicle.

As of the time of this report, it is unknown whether the young man who died in the Telchac Puerto collapse has relatives in the state.
