Wrong leg was cut off patient at ISSSTE in San Luis Potosi

SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, SLP., June 2, 2023.-The ISSSTE Hospital of Ciudad Valles, was denounced for an alleged medical negligence, due to the fact that a 67-year-old lady needed an osteotomy on her left leg; however, at the time of the intervention the surgeons performed the procedure on her right leg.

The patient’s relatives denounced the medical negligence that took place last Wednesday, May 31 at the ISSSTE in the municipality of Ciudad Valles, as they pointed out that now none of her legs are well.
