For the Progreso City Council, led by Julián Zacarías Curi, it is a fundamental commitment that residents of all districts can enjoy clean and dignified areas. With that purpose in mind, this morning, in response to a citizen report, pruning, pothole repair, and garbage collection works were carried out on 32nd Street and 27th Street in the district of Chicxulub Puerto. These works were personally supervised by the mayor.
During the tour, Zacarías Curi emphasized that “taking care of our streets and spaces is everyone’s responsibility. That’s why it is very important for authorities and citizens to work together to maintain the cleanliness and good image of Progreso.”
It is worth noting that the Comisarías Unit continuously carries out cleaning actions throughout the municipality. For example, recently, cleaning, pruning, and garbage collection were also carried out at the “Benito Juárez” school in Chicxulub Puerto and the “José Trinidad Méndez” school in Chelem. Likewise, a general cleaning and reconnection of streetlights were carried out in Flamboyanes. At the main park in Chuburná, a breaker was changed to reactivate the lights that had been cut off due to an overloaded line. In San Ignacio, light bulbs were replaced in the walkway area, and electrical reconnection was made at the soccer field.
With these actions, the Progreso City Council works to improve the image of the port and contribute to the well-being of Progreso’s families.
