In an effort to improve tourist infrastructure and ensure safety at the Chicxulub pier, Mayor Julián Zacarías Curi personally supervised the installation of new lighting in this emblematic location of the community of Progreso.
Accompanied by municipal officials during a nighttime tour of the site, the mayor emphasized the importance of enhancing the image of these public spaces to continue promoting economic growth in the region. He also highlighted the significance of the Chicxulub pier as one of the prominent attractions along the coast and as a gathering point for residents and visitors.
“We are committed to the well-being of our community and the tourism development of Progreso. Today, with the new lighting at the pier, the families of Chicxulub will be able to enjoy the breeze with greater safety, and we will also be able to provide memorable experiences for our visitors,” expressed the mayor.
As part of this project, 14 seven-meter-high posts, 14 60-watt luminaires, and 245 Edison-style luminaires were installed, achieving a harmonious integration of lights with the surroundings to maintain the natural aesthetics of the coastal area.
