The commitment to completing the Tren Maya by the end of the year is so significant that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador conducted another day of site supervision on Father’s Day.
While leaving the hotel where he stayed in Mérida, the president took the opportunity to congratulate fathers, before heading to his meeting with Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal. “Greetings, congratulations,” he expressed.
He also had a brief encounter with Alpha Tavera Escalante, the president of the Morena State Committee in Yucatán, whom he greeted from his vehicle. “Although we already know that eternal love is for mothers and the most endearing love is for children, fathers are also adorable. Congratulations on your day!” López Obrador later posted on his social media.
This message generated thousands of interactions in less than 20 minutes, with 22,700 positive reactions and 3,200 comments on Facebook. On Twitter, within that timeframe, it received 3,800 likes, 1,100 retweets, and 82,000 views.

Governor Mauricio Vila Dosal shared the recent meeting he had with President López Obrador at Air Base No. 8.
