Governor Mauricio Vila announces an increase in teachers’ salaries

Mauricio Vila, the governor of Yucatán, announced that salaries for teachers and Support and Education Assistance Personnel who are not federally employed will be increased.

The salary increase will be reflected in an extraordinary payroll, to be paid on the 30th of this month, and will be retroactive from January.

The state will allocate over 139 million pesos, benefiting approximately eight thousand workers.

To make this possible, collaboration was established with leaders from the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) and the State Union (Setey).
