The seventh edition of Expo Foro Ambiental 2023 opened its doors this Friday, as part of a commitment and interest from the private sector and the government in preserving the environment and natural resources.

With a focus on sustainable tourism, over 100 exhibitors from various sectors will be offering their products and services designed for environmental care to the public.

During the opening event, Levy Abraham Macari, the president of the National Chamber of Services and Tourism of Mérida (Canaco Servytur), pointed out that climate change and environmental conservation represent one of the biggest current challenges for our planet.

The representative of the private sector highlighted the importance of working hand in hand with the government to find effective solutions to the impacts of climate change.

He also mentioned that the business organization he leads has invested in the installation of solar panels in their facilities, in addition to promoting digitalization as a measure to reduce costs, time, and resource consumption.

Mauricio López Cantón, president of the Organizing Committee of Expo Foro Ambiental, invited attendees to consult the program of activities and participate in them, which included dance performances, storytelling, talks, and presentations, all with the aim of raising awareness and leaving an impact on all participants.

Subsequently, accompanied by the Secretary of Sustainable Development, Sayda Rodríguez Gómez, they toured some of the stands that were part of this event, which will take place from June 2nd to 4th at the Chichén Itzá hall of the Yucatán Siglo XXI Convention Center.
