Eight deaths due to heatwave: Ministry of Health (SSA)

The federal Ministry of Health reported that eight people have died as a result of the heatwave currently impacting Mexico.

Three deaths occurred in Veracruz, two in Quintana Roo, two in Sonora, and one in Oaxaca.

From June 3rd to 10th, 69 cases of heatstroke were reported, prompting recommendations to avoid exposure to high temperatures between 11 am and 3 pm.

The heat season started on March 19th and will extend until October.
