Four minors were rescued alive after spending 40 days lost in the jungle of Colombia in an operation that mobilized Army personnel by air, land, and sea.
They were found on the border between the departments of Caquetá and Guaviare, near the area where the Cessna 206 plane crashed while flying between Araracuara and San José del Guaviare.
Three adults and the pilot died in the accident, but the children aged 13, nine, and four, as well as a 12-month-old baby, survived.
“They were together, they are weak. Let the doctors evaluate them. They were found, and it brings me great joy,” declared Gustavo Petro, the President of Colombia.
