 July 26 will be the key day for the presidential aspirations of the Governor of Yucatán, Mauricio Vila Dosal, since on that date the details of the internal process and selection methods of the presidential candidate of the Va por México alliance.

Interviewed in Puebla, where the inauguration of the Yucatán Expone Fair was held on Thursday, June 15th, Vila Dosal responded to the local media that yes, the method that the selection method for the presidential candidacy of the Va Por México alliance stipulates abandoning the position prematurely, he would not seek to enter a contest for the presidential candidacy.

“Today I am waiting for the announcement of the alliance’s candidate selection method on June 26, if this method is a method that helps to win the presidential election, but also, is a method that allows me to continue as governor for my next two or three months, he will surely be interested in participating, I commit Yucatan that I cannot leave due to a personal situation, so we are waiting for June 26 to define the method”, said Vila Dosal.

However, the State Executive made it clear that if he would like to be president of Mexico “if there is talk today that Mauricio Vila has the possibility of leading the Va Por México alliance, it is because of the results that are taking place in Yucatan such as; security, employment and care for the environment, but I am clear that I have a commitment to the people of Yucatan, they chose me to stay for six years ”, he concluded.
