The LGBTQ+ community in Yucatan took to the streets for the 2023 March, which was dedicated to transgender individuals.
The parade began around 5:00 PM on Saturday, with approximately 15,000 participants marching along Paseo de Montejo, the most iconic avenue in the capital city, heading towards the city center.
In the heart of the city, a concert took place, accompanied by peaceful statements from the community.
Before reaching their destination, the marchers, carrying multicolored flags, wearing costumes and body decorations, started walking and dancing to music, while spectators along the route applauded their presence.
Among the procession, federal deputy Rommel Pacheco and his wife were seen in a vehicle, distributing t-shirts related to the march.
Various civil associations advocating for human rights, disease support, psychological assistance, and foster homes participated in the march.
Municipal and State Police were present at the front and rear of the march, ensuring order and preventing any accidents.
