The Tourism Business Council (Cetur) of Yucatán and the Jaguar Tourism Award Council presented the first “Yucatán Enamora” Expo, which aims to promote unforgettable destinations in the region.
The event, presented by the President of the Jaguar Tourism Award, Rosa Isela García Pantoja, and Álvaro Traconis Flores, Secretary of the Board of Directors of Cetur, will showcase the wide variety of tourist options available in Yucatán.
Among the offerings at this exhibition are accommodations, water parks, cenotes (natural sinkholes), ecotourism experiences, adventure tours, Mayan weddings, gastronomy, traditional medicine, rural tourism, museums, hiking, and much more.
“What we want to show is the destination, to sell the destination of Yucatán because it is very unfortunate that the average Yucatecan knows more about hotels in the Riviera Maya than what we have in Yucatán,” expressed García Pantoja.
In addition, there will be special surprises reserved for attendees.
The event will take place in the parking lot of Hotel El Conquistador, located on Paseo de Montejo Avenue, Mérida.
The expo will be held on Saturday, June 3, and Sunday, June 4, with hours from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Saturday and from 8:15 AM to 2:00 PM on Sunday.
Furthermore, on Sunday starting at 10:00 AM, there will be a special promotion for groups and excursionists.
During the “Yucatán Enamora” Expo, there will also be artistic and cultural activities that will complement the visitors’ experience, showcasing the richness of Yucatecan culture found in the promoted destinations.
In the framework of this event, the call for submissions for the sixth edition of the Jaguar Tourism Award 2023 will also be announced.
“At Cetur, we see that what tourism is seeking now is security, outdoor activities, sustainability, and socially responsible companies, which is what they will find at the event,” added Traconis Flores.
