This Saturday, May 27th and Sunday, May 28th, the Yucatan Ministry of Health will be carrying out the Yucatan Health Department’s “Campaña de Descacharrización” (Cleanup Campaign) in Merida and its districts.
The main objective is to prevent the formation of breeding grounds for mosquitoes that cause diseases such as dengue, chikungunya and zika during this rainy season.
This Saturday, garbage collection will take place from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm in neighborhoods and police stations in the south, and on Sunday during the same hours in neighborhoods and police stations in the north.
There will also be fumigations and abatement in areas where authorities believe mosquito larvae could form.
In the following link you will be able to locate in detail in which places will be carried out the campaign of “Campaña de Descacharrización”.
