Umán, Yucatán, May 4, 2023.- With the objective of preventing cardiovascular diseases, the “Cuida tu Corazón 2023 Danceathon” was held in the city of Umán, in which health services were provided completely free of charge to all Uman residents.
In this first edition, more than 700 patients were attended and glucose, weight, height and blood pressure measurements were taken so that they are aware of their health indicators and can be monitored for the prevention of chronic degenerative diseases.
In keeping with the mandate of Umán’s Municipal President, Dr. Gaspar Ventura Cisneros Polanco, we continue to work with the State Government’s Secretary of Health through the Nutrition Department to bring the various integral health services closer to the citizens.
Likewise, we seek to decentralize the attention modules from the municipal capital, which is why we have brought services to the San Lorenzo subdivision, as well as to the Yaxcopoil and Hacienda Itzincab police stations to provide equal opportunities for all residents and to provide them with a better response in the services they demand.
In addition to these actions, physical conditioning and Zumba activities have been carried out to create awareness among society of the importance of physical activity to maintain a healthy body and avoid heart attacks and overweight.
