Progreso neighbors complain about filming of Netflix series

Traffic chaos was recorded this weekend in the port of Progreso due to the filming of a Netflix series, and neighbors say they are fed up with the filming.

As we have already mentioned in La Verdad Noticias, the port of Progreso, the city of Mérida and some parts of the interior of the state are locations for the filming of a Netflix series, however, for the neighbors of the port this represents a problem.

This Friday, May 19, there was traffic chaos on 78th Street in the port of Progreso, as well as in the surrounding streets, due to the filming of the series.

According to the complainants, the preparations for the filming began at 4:00 a.m. and lasted until noon, which caused a traffic jam due to the large number of people who come to visit during the weekend.

On the aforementioned street, a structure was installed that served for the illumination of different locations, which blocked the passage of vehicles.

The neighbors indicated that the traffic is ‘crazy’, that they consider that they should look for another day to make the recordings, a day when there are not so many people in the port.

Among those affected by the filming, Mr. Josué Cáceres said that he was going to be late for work at Puerto de Abrigo because he had not been able to move forward in the line of cars that had formed.

It is worth mentioning that another of the complaints was that the Staff personnel were allegedly rude to the neighbors in the area when they approached to watch or photograph the artists while they were filming, some were happy to be able to meet the artists of the series being filmed in the port.
