More than 100 collectors celebrated Star Wars Day in Merida

A collector’s meeting, held in the context of Star Wars Day, resulted in the eleventh edition of Toy Hunters at the National Chamber of Commerce hall. “We have more than 100 exhibitors with all kinds of toys and collectibles,” highlighted organizer Gener Caballero, who valued the presence of exhibitors from various states.

Likewise, there were professional cosplayers from the Master Mando Show, led by David Master Herrera, who was characterized as the Mandalorian and has portrayed Darth Vader or Batman during his career. The Star Wars Fan Club of the Peninsula also had a presence with a Boba Fett.

“Although we call them toys because that’s how many people perceive them, what is really offered are collectible items,” Caballero emphasized. And in some cases, they are not even for sale, but only for display.

For example, at one of the booths, there is an Optimus Prime figure that is a real “autobot,” as it transforms on its own by voice command.

The Toy Hunters expo will be open until 8 p.m. on Saturday and will continue on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at CANACO (Itzaes Avenue #273 x 31st Street, García Ginerés neighborhood).
