The increasingly attractive Paseo de Montejo avenue has aroused the interest of investors in tourist services, mainly hotels and restaurants, who are developing projects that face problems due to the restrictions and care of this high-value urban area from the city.

new restaurant on the corner of Calle 47, where the roundabout of the Montejos is located, is in the final stages of its opening. It is a large restaurant that boasts the “Carajillo” brand, with an architectural design different from the French architecture that dominates this avenue, its decoration is related to nature.

Near this construction is another building that some people have called an “urban monstrosity” because it is next to a mansion of beautiful architecture, next to the twin mansions and the Palacio Cantón.

A few meters from the Impala restaurant, a  new multi-level building has the seal of work suspended imposed by the Urban Development Department of the Mérida City Council for infringing the provisions of the construction regulations. It was only closed on May 3, but the stamp does not state the reason.

A few meters from this closed hotel, another house that is being remodeled was also closed. It has a red ribbon across the front and suspended work stamps, placed on May 4, 2023.

Also on Paseo de Montejo, another hotel construction is underway. It was closed for a long time, but today the work has resumed, but the construction work still has a long way to go.

Another hotel is close to completion just a few meters from the Justo Sierra roundabout , in front of the Walmart supermarket on Paseo de Montejo.

The Bici Ruta had a Sunday of low influx because families preferred the rest after two days of intense cultural and artistic activity for the festivities of La Víspera and La Noche Blanca on Friday and Saturday.

The range of options in the Bici Ruta is wide because, in addition to the restaurants on Paseo de Montejo and that have good occupation, the commercial corridor is diverse with handicrafts, paintings, typical and Chiapas clothing, shoes, toys, and accessories, as well as the installation every month of the Republic Bazaar that offers Yucatecan products from 50 different exhibitors.
