As part of Star Wars Day, a completely free Star Wars symphony concert will be held in CDMX.
You can enjoy iconic musical pieces from the saga, such as Star Wars main theme, Princess Leia’s Theme, or Adventures of Jar Jar, among many others.
And the best part is that you won’t have to go to a galaxy far, far away. Just prepare your lightsaber and let the force accompany you to the Venustiano Carranza borough of CDMX.
Every May 4th, Star Wars Day or the Day of the Galactic War is celebrated. The date of this celebration is due to a wordplay with the iconic phrase from the saga: “May the force be with you.” In English, this phrase is written “May the force be with you,” which sounds similar to “May the fourth be with you.”
Therefore, fans around the world celebrate this date in different ways to honor the saga created by George Lucas in 1977. And CDMX is no exception.
In 2022, a completely free Star Wars symphony concert was held for the first time in the capital city. Now, in 2023, the second edition will take place, where pieces from the saga will be performed by the Injuve Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of César Uriel Hernández.
The Star Wars symphony concert will take place on May 4, 2023, at 7:00 p.m.
This show will be presented at the square of the Venustiano Carranza borough, located at the intersection of Francisco del Paso y Troncoso with Fray Servando Teresa de Mier. You can get there by taking the 2 trolleybus line, the 5 Metrobús line (Venustiano Carranza station), or the 4 Metro line (Fray Servando station).
The admission is free.
