The state governor expressed his happiness in meeting him, as he is a “world champion, Mexican pride, and an inspiration for athletes in Yucatan and our country.”
Vila Dosal led the event alongside Claudia Sheinbaum, the head of the government; Mara Lezama, the governor of Quintana Roo; Jaime Fasja, president of the ADI; and the boxer, the undisputed champion in the super middleweight division.
