Fishermen from the port of Sisal reported the discovery of a drifting boat off the coast of Yucatán.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when the fishermen set sail as usual to fish, and about 58 meters off the coast of Sisal, they came across a green boat adrift.
Concerned about the fate of the boat’s occupants, they searched the area in an attempt to find any survivors, but no evidence of human presence was found.
Unofficially, the coordinates where the boat was found were provided: 21 27 243 and 095 25 982.
As of the time of this report, it is unknown whether the boat was intentionally sunk or if it suffered an accident at sea.
The fishermen notified the Port Captaincy of Sisal, under the responsibility of Captain Cisneros, who have not yet revealed the origin of the boat.
It is worth mentioning that this case has been treated with utmost confidentiality and has caused controversy in the community, as it is presumed that the Secretariat of the Navy will take charge of the case. Further details are expected to be disclosed soon, including whether there are any individuals involved who may be injured.
Silverado Dzul Ku shared a video showing the tip of the boat emerging from the sea, questioning if anyone recognizes the vessel: “If anyone recognizes this boat.”
