A fire broke out at a property located on Calle 22, known as the “Periférico Bachoco,” consuming the cabin and engine of a three-ton truck that was transporting stones. Allegedly, due to a mechanical failure, the truck could not be moved from the site where the fire occurred.

The report of a vehicle fire on Calle 79 X 40 in the Santo Domingo neighborhood mobilized municipal police units. However, upon arrival, they did not find anything. Nevertheless, while searching the area, they discovered a fire in the vegetation on the outskirts of the Periférico on Calle 22. Upon reaching the location, they noticed that part of a three-ton truck with license plates YP-0226-7 from the state of Yucatán had also been burned.

Information gathered from residents of the area indicated that the fire started in the vegetation but spread to the edge of a road where the truck was parked. Due to a mechanical failure and the absence of anyone who could have at least pushed it, the truck caught fire and part of it was consumed.

Firefighters from the Tizimín CISP also arrived at the scene and proceeded to extinguish the vegetation fire and put out the truck, which suffered considerable damage. It was reported that approximately six bundles of vegetation were consumed along with the truck. After several minutes of work by the police and firefighters, everything returned to normal.
