Chicken rescued from the tracks of the Mexico City Metro

A black chicken was rescued on the tracks at Centro Médico station on Line 9 temporarily disrupted the service of the Mexico City Metro on Sunday, May 14th.

This was reported on Monday by the Mexico City Metro Collective Transportation System (STC), which stated that Civil Protection personnel came to the rescue of the animal.

The chicken was captured without major complications, and the service resumed immediately, although it is unknown how it ended up in the area.

The Metro advised passengers to “safeguard their belongings and use carriers to transport pets to prevent incidents.”

While some users made jokes about the situation, others applauded Civil Protection for protecting an innocent animal.
