“You are strength and resilience,” she continued. “You are the embodiment of power and passion. We are all so fortunate to have witnessed your kindness and your beautiful spirit that will endure forever. Thank you for everything you’ve done.”
Her message included a photo of both of them holding hands and bowing at the 2008 Grammy Awards, where they performed Turner’s hit song “Proud Mary” together.
