Saturday, April 29, 2023. MÉRIDA – After several days of not seeing or hearing from him, a woman decided to visit her brother at his home, located in the Itzimná neighborhood in Mérida, but she was shocked when she entered the house, where she made a macabre discovery.
It turns out that the woman found her brother dead. His body was lying on a hammock in a state of decomposition.
It was around midday when the woman became worried because she had not heard from her brother for several days, so she decided to go to his home.

The deceased brother is a senior citizen and was identified as Rafael C., 67 years old, who lived alone.
After the macabre discovery in the Itzimná neighborhood in Mérida, family members notified the authorities, and police officers from the State Investigation (PEI) arrived at the house and cordoned off the area.
Forensic Medical Service ( SEEMEFO) personnel also arrived at the scene to remove the body and carry out the legal procedures.
