Mérida, Yucatán, May 1, 2023.- On Sunday, April 30th, the Municipal Police of Mérida learned of a fire on Calle 52 between 59 and 61 in a property (in abandonment) marked with the number 493.

The events were recorded when the police officers were carrying out their surveillance work in the area when they detected the smoke coming out of the property.

Immediately proceeded to cordon off the area and report the facts to the Fire Department of the Secretary of Public Security, arriving at units 862 and 802, who proceeded to put out the fire.

The fire was detected in time, so it only caused damage to the entrance door.

Subsequently, at 7:15 p.m., another start of the fire was recorded in the same, apparently carried out intentionally, for which reason fire units had to go to the place again.

On this occasion, remains of wood were burned.
