The little dog ‘Willys’ will no longer be a street dog after being attacked by a Pitbull in Ciudad Caucel, Mérida.

As we reported last week, the dog was attacked by a Pitbull dog in the vicinity of a commercial plaza located in the aforementioned subdivision.

This case went viral, as the stray dog has earned the appreciation of the customers of the plaza, as he is very playful, which has caused him to be nicknamed ‘Willys’, due to the fact that he used to be at the door of a mini-supermarket with the same name.

Because he gained the appreciation of the customers of the shopping plaza, he received food from them who bought him an envelope when they did their shopping.

Last week the dog was attacked by a Pitbull in the plaza where he roamed and because he was seriously injured and the owner of the dog allegedly wanted to ignore what happened, neighbors circulated the information on networks asking for help to pay for the dog’s medical expenses.

Finally, ‘Willys‘ was treated, the Pitbull’s owner paid one thousand pesos for the medical expenses and after his recovery, he was put up for adoption.

Fortunately, a man was moved by the tender story and decided to adopt him, and this Friday he met his new family, who gave him a roof over his head, food and most importantly, love.

During the arrival of ‘Willys‘ to his new home, he was a little shy, but with good spirits the dog did not hesitate to show affection to his new humans.
