Valladolid, a magic town located in the state of Yucatan, has become one of the most popular destinations for tourists in Mexico.

Recently, it has been named the fourth most visited magic town in the country and has been included in the list of the 10 magic towns in which the most travel bookings were made during the first quarter of 2023.

According to Despegar.com, one of the main online booking pages in Mexico, Valladolid has received a large number of visits from January to March 2023.

This places it in fourth place on the list of the most popular magic towns in the country, with the top three spots occupied by Tulum, San Cristobal de las Casas, and Bacalar.

Magic towns are Mexican tourist destinations that have been designated by the government as places of historical and cultural importance.

Valladolid, with its colonial architecture, churches, and nearby Mayan ruins, offers visitors a wealth of options to explore and learn about the country’s culture and history.

According to Despegar.com, over 60% of Mexican travelers prefer to visit colonial magic towns, and the average stay in these places is 3 to 5 days.

Valladolid is known for being a high-quality destination and has received the award in the “Heritage” category during the 2023 Tourism Tianguis.

With its rich history and culture, Valladolid offers visitors an authentic and memorable experience in the heart of Mexico.
