The head of the State Coordination of Civil Protection (Procivy), Enrique Alcocer Basto, reported that winds with gusts of more than 70 kilometers per hour (Km/h) are expected, after noon on the 29th, in the north and northwest of the entity, and gradually in the center, east and south, according to the analyzes of the State Monitoring and Alert System (SEMA).
Likewise, the intensity of these climate variations could generate waves of 1.8 to 2.5 meters (m) in height on the coasts, heavy rains, electrical activity and potential hail fall. During Saturday night and Sunday morning, the entry of the cold front will cause a moderate north with blizzards of 40 to 50 km/h in its path, light rainfall and waves from 1.2 to 1.8 m.
For all of the above, the official urged those who operate fishing vessels to be attentive to possible restrictions on navigation issued by the Harbor Master’s Office, and recommended that the general population protect themselves from rain and wind, in the event of cable falls. , poles or tree branches, as well as blunt objects that could fall from the roofs of their houses.
