State authorities are seeking to prevent corruption in Yucatan

MÉRIDA, Yucatan, April 17, 2023.-The Secretariat for Research, Innovation and Higher Education (SIIES) and the Executive Secretariat of the State Anti-Corruption System of Yucatan (SESEAY) have signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of preventing corruption in the state.

The agreement will allow the exchange of information and the creation of useful tools for the fulfillment of the objectives of both bodies, as well as the joint organization of events such as forums, conferences, workshops and training courses.

The Secretary of the SIIES, Mtro. Mauricio Cámara Leal, highlighted the work and commitment of the SEAY to team up and “make synergy”, while the President of the Citizen Participation Committee and the SEAY, Dr. José Luis Villamil Urzaiz, assured that the agreement will allow establishing new commitments and challenges.

The Technical Secretary of SESEAY, Lic. Marysol Contreras Navarrete, emphasized the advantages and benefits that both entities will have by consolidating this collaborative relationship, and recalled that the SEAY was created as the body that articulates and evaluates the state policy on prevention, detection and punishment of administrative responsibilities and acts of corruption.
