Progreso approves the construction of a new tower in the tourist zone

PROGRESO – More investments are coming to the port in the hotel industry, in addition to those of the restaurant sector that are installed in the tourist area of the traditional boardwalk, which generate economic revenue, sources of employment, will provide more lodging and food options and will position this city as the main tourist destination in Yucatan.

The construction of a tower on the Malecón is on the horizon; they are just fine-tuning some details for the permits and to begin work.

Overlooking the sea between 19th and 21st streets between 68th and 70th on the traditional boardwalk, the 12-story Ikonic Tower residential tower is planned, which in addition to having a commercial area and parking, will have a swimming pool, jacuzzi, gym, yoga and social areas.

Mayor Julian Zacarias Curi confirms the plans of this strong investment in the hotel industry in the port, the construction of one more residential tower for the city, so that Progreso will have three towers, two of which are being built in the area of the mouth of the Yucalpeten harbor, they should be ready and come into operation next November.

Progreso, an investment pole

The mayor pointed out that Progreso has undoubtedly become a tourist investment pole, Progreso is not changing, it has already changed for the good of its inhabitants and visitors, it has the main services, which makes it attractive for more investors to set their eyes on this city that transforms and improves every day, said the mayor.

Julián Zacarías points out that the investors have already presented the project of this millionaire investment for this city, the construction of this residential tower in the traditional boardwalk with sea view, which will be one more lodging option in the port, whose construction start date would be this same year, there are some details that have to be fulfilled for this hotel work to begin.

“Progreso is an attractive place for investments, all the facilities are granted for investors in the different branches such as hotels, restaurants and others to invest in the city and ports of the municipality, two towers are being built in Yucalpetén, more restaurants are being installed on the boardwalk and now a residential tower, investments have not stopped and are being promoted”, he remarked.

What is Ikonic Tower?

The Ikonic Tower, about 24 meters high, will occupy a land located in the area of the boardwalk where until 2019 the Easter and summer fair was installed, it is located about 50 meters from the Meteorite Museum.

On the east side of where the residential tower will be located, a gastronomic corridor is under construction, which represents another option for food and beverages.

In the area where the Ikonic Tower will be built, there is also the Blue Flag beach, which also has lifeguards that patrol the beach area, which is being maintained since early morning for cleaning with machinery and municipal workers.
