Pilot of hot air balloon that crashed in Teotihuacan detained in Pachuca

The pilot of the hot air balloon that collapsed yesterday in Teotihuacan and caused the death of two crew members was located and detained at the General Hospital of Pachuca after fleeing the accident to seek medical help after suffering severe burns on his face.

According to information, the Regional Prosecutor’s Office of Tecámac in the State of Mexico was informed of the whereabouts of the person who directed this balloon, who was in the hospital of the capital of the state of Hidalgo awaiting medical attention.

The subject presented burns in 90 percent of his face, after the balloon failure which also left two people dead and a minor injured.
