Men kidnap a police officer and beat him up in Tizimín, Yucatan

A moment of panic was experienced by a police officer from Yucatan, after two men attacked him in a paint store.

According to reports, two employees of a paint store located on 47th street between 50th and 52nd streets in the Centro neighborhood, in the municipality of Tizimín, were allegedly drunk and went out Friday night in search of a woman to whom they demanded payment for a debt. However, the woman said that the men became very aggressive.

Faced with the situation, the woman requested the support of emergency services, so municipal police officers arrived at the scene and took note of the incident.

The officers arrived on their motorcycles, however, the criminals did not view their presence favorably, so they decided to attack the officer to the point of taking him inside the paint store and beating him.

Witnesses to the events captured the incident on video, while the other officer requested backup.

It should be noted that the aggressors locked the officers in, so when backup arrived, they had to break down the door.

Finally, the men were arrested and taken to the Morelos barracks in Yucatan.

The men who kidnapped and beat a police officer were identified as I.J.C.C., 20 years old, and J.A.C.C., who were handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
