Local businessman Manuel Montero has offered a 15,000 peso reward to locate the man who scratched his Tesla in a plaza in Mérida, Yucatán.

The subject made his search viral and in the end he did manage to find the man who damaged his luxury car, so he announced that he will begin a legal battle to make him responsible for the damages he caused.

According to Manuel Montero, it was the night of Sunday, April 16 that a man approached his Tesla to scratch it while it was parked in La Isla Merida.

However, the man did not realize that the car has surveillance cameras, so his action was recorded.

Manuel Montero shared the video to find the person responsible for the scratch and offered 10,000 pesos to anyone who gave him information about the subject.

When the offer went viral, another man from the Tesla community sent a message to the businessman to offer another 5,000 pesos and raise the reward for the information to 15,000 pesos.

Finally, businessman Manuel Montero informed that the person who scratched his Tesla has been identified and that he is a former employee of a business he bought.

However, he indicated that he will not reveal more information about him, as they will proceed legally against him, “and he will even cry when he finds out what he damaged,” he said.

In addition, Manuel Montero pointed out that he was identified with the help of cybernauts and thanked “the power of social networks” nowadays.
