At kilometer 12.5 of the beach between Progreso and Telchac, a woman apparently of North American origin was walking very leisurely through the sand while holding a weapon on her back.
The woman was accompanied by another person and two animals, with her while she was holding the firearm
State police officers approached the woman and interviewed her to find out why she was carrying a firearm and where she got it from.
So far the authorities have not reported the facts, that is, the reasons why the woman carried this weapon scaring vacationers are unknown.
