Adopt and support: “Expo Animalitos” to be held in Merida’s Santiago Park

01/04/2023 | Mérida, Yucatán .-With the objective of supporting animal protection associations and rescuers in Yucatán, the third edition of Expo Animalitos will be held in Santiago Park, in downtown Mérida. The event will take place on Saturday, April 15 from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

This third edition of the event, explained Raúl Argáez Ortega, member of Red Animal Yucatán and member of the organizing committee, aims to promote a culture of adoption through the use of public spaces.

This, he said, will in turn raise funds for the rescued animals.

During the event there will be various activities such as pet adoptions; a pro-animal bazaar; a variety of artistic events; as well as talks on responsible pet ownership and animal protection by rescuers.

“At the event, which will take place in the emblematic Santiago Park, we will be accompanied by Zita Vera, Danna Andregom, María Esther Durán Leal, Susana Murguía, Adriana López, Ale Noh, Beatriz Castroe, Dulce Méndez, Inés Félix, among others.”

He added that the associations Un millón de esperanzas, Amor Malix, Centro de orientación Perpopolis, Peluditos y callejeritos, Ayudando peluditos, La gran manada, Evolución A.C. and more will be present.

As part of the third edition of Expo Animalitos there will also be the presence of federal deputy Cecilia Patrón and councilman Raúl Escalante.
