In a pickup truck located in Ciudad Juarez, 118 dead dogs were found bagged in an advanced state of decomposition.
A man was arrested while beating three dogs because he is accused of killing 118 dogs whose corpses were found in Ciudad Juarez.
This happened after locals reported to foul smell coming from a property in the south of the city.
When the police officers approached the intersection of Privada de Revillagigedo and Privada de Iturrigaray streets, they detected that the odor was coming from a gray Ford pickup truck.
In the back of the vehicle they found 118 dead dogs in bags in an advanced state of decomposition.
The detainee was identified as Francisco Javier O. L., 29 years of age, and was sent to the corresponding authority to determine his alleged responsibility for the crime of animal abuse.
In an interview, the owner of the van said that he worked in a clinic and that he collects animals from the street, in addition to offering crematory services for pets.
“We have already summoned the owners of the cremation company, since the employees confirmed that the detainee works at the place, but they do not know why he had so many dead dogs in his vehicle,” informed Diego Poggio, head of Rescue and Adoption of Pets of the Municipality (RAMM).
An investigation file was opened against the alleged culprit to clarify the contradictions in the case.
