MEXICO CITY, April 3, 2023.- At least 46 abused dogs were rescued during a search inside a building in Texcoco, in the State of Mexico.
Agents from the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM) and personnel from the State Environmental Protection Agency (PROPAEM) rescued the canines of different breeds, which showed signs of having been mistreated.
As a result of a complaint filed for possible criminal acts of animal mistreatment inside a vehicle inspection center located in San Mateo, IV Section, in Texcoco, the Public Prosecutor’s Office requested a judge to issue a search warrant for this establishment.
This injunction was granted, so FGJEM agents and PROPAEM personnel went to the place, where 46 canines of different breeds and characteristics were rescued, which were in cages and were allegedly mistreated.
