40 kilos of Cannabis made land east of Cozumel

A package of 40 kilos of green grass, apparently marijuana, was found this Saturday on the east coast of Cozumel, according to a press release from the Mexican Navy.

The discovery was made when members of the armed forces were conducting a surveillance tour when they noticed a black package among the sargassum, so when they approached and opened it, they observed that its contents were wet grass, with the characteristics of marijuana.

The package was secured and taken to the military garrison facilities where it would be placed at the disposal of the federal authorities for the proper investigation.
