A driver, a resident of Flamboyanes, dozed off while riding his motorcycle on the Merida-Progreso highway between Flamboyanes and Paraiso, and ended up with multiple injuries after leaving the road.
Drivers alerted the authorities, and paramedics from the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública (SSP) arrived on the scene to attend to the injured man, who had to be taken to a hospital for medical attention.
Traffic accidents on the Mérida-Progreso highway are getting more and more frequent on the Merida-Progreso highway.
